Right before Christmas, I got invited to eat lunch with my granddaughter Lana’s 2nd grade class. It’s so much fun.

Below, Left to Right:

Samantha (“I’m Gifted”) – Teacher says she’s the drama queen in class. Cute as a bug and ‘clowns’ just like “I Love Lucy.” A total trip. I wanted to take her home. She’s headed for Saturday Night Live.

“Kool Aid” – That’s his name. He loves football.

Lana Marie – The Thompson family’s youngest and sweetest.

Lana with the Easter Bunny celebrating Xmas – the next day they got to wear pajamas to school. Really.

The children were asked, in 2nd grade writing class, to write a story. This is Lana’s letter thanking me for the birthday party and her gift that she got from Mary. Plus, remembering 3 plus years ago when GrandMommyha (my wife, Lucille) took her to feed the ducks. Isn’t that sweet?

The teacher knew me when I was on WBT (when most of the 2nd graders parents were in 2nd grade). I clowned around with the kids (7 year olds) and they were so responsive. They laffed at my Donald Duck routine. I’ve never seen so many faces of joy in one place. It must be a very good school (Indian Land Elementary).
