I’ve passed this couple walking on Sharon Road near South Park about 50 times. It’s their daily routine at about 10am. Every time I go by, I chuckle at her silly hat with the feathers sticking up. When the weather’s fair, they go out for a 2 or 3 mile walk. This time I couldn’t resist; I parked my car, walked over, introduced myself, and asked if I could take a picture. She laughed and said, “This happens all the time.”

Meet Don & Arlene Toney. I asked, “Arlene, what’s the significance of the Indian feathers…were your ancestors in the Battle of Little Big Horn? She answered, “No…I only do it to make people laugh and smile.”

Both of them have showbiz in their hearts. You either have it or you don’t. They sure play it well and their audience loves it. May it never end.
